We’ve all swept a floor at some point, but sweeping a chimney is not like sweeping a floor.

Chimney sweeping requires extra attention to detail, specialized classroom and field training, experience, know-how, and diligence.  At Home Safe Hearth & Chimney, our number one priority is keeping your home and family safe.

What to expect when our Certified Technician arrives at your home?

Our Certified Technician will arrive on time, in one of our Home Safe Hearth & Chimney trucks. All of our trucks are easily identified by our Home Safe Hearth & Chimney wrap.   Our technicians will be in a company uniform and carry an ID badge with their photo.

Keeping your home clean is of the utmost importance to us.  Before beginning any work, your Certified Technician will place a red carpet at the front door and they will put on shoe protectors.  We will carefully place clean runners leading to the work area and we will place plenty of drop cloths at our work area to ensure that absolutely no mess is made in your home.

Chimneys are known to be dusty and messy.  To keep any of that dust from spreading in the air, we use a specialized HEPA filtration vacuum (like in a hospital).  Your fireplace might smell great while burning, however, the ash, soot, and residue left inside your chimney can be very stinky.  To prevent that odor from making your home stink, we will use a deodorizer while we are working.

We absolutely guarantee that there will not be a speck of dust from our services when we are done. There will be absolutely NO mess in your home!

The Sweep and Inspection

Our Certified Technicians will complete a multi-point checklist to thoroughly sweep your chimney.  This process includes, at a minimum:

• Sweeping your chimney, including the firebox, flue liner, smoke chamber, smoke shelf, and damper.

• Removing debris, ash, and creosote from your chimney and flue

• Checking the interior of your flue with our SmartScan Chimney Inspection Camera

• Checking your chimney exterior for any signs of damage or impending repair needs

Our Experience Matters

We have over 38 years in the chimney service and repair business, and our clients know that they can depend on our team of experts.  Each of our Certified Technicians are CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) Certified.  This certification is the gold standard in the chimney service industry and means that our staff has undergone extensive classroom and field training, and they have passed a rigorous exam.  Our technicians stay current with continuing education and re-examination that is required every three years to maintain their certification.

Honesty & Integrity

Our customers can trust us with the most difficult and delicate work in even the most discriminating of homes; you can rest easy when you call us.  Each of our employees are background-checked and must agree to random drug screenings prior to even being considered for employment.

Our honest and friendly technicians will get the job done right the first time instead of just “poking around” or “winging it” like the uncertified competition.

When you are ready to schedule your appointment, call us at 316-265-9828.  We look forward to meeting you and taking care of your home!
